Direct answer. AOTR currently has four playable raids: Attack Titan, Armored Titan, Female Titan, and Colossal Titan. This guide covers source-backed phase mechanics, entry requirements, failure conditions, and confirmed special rewards only.
Scope note. This page intentionally stays with mechanics and clearly confirmed special rewards. It does not turn screenshot-only chest data or unverified formulas into claims.
Standard raids use Hard, Severe, and Aberrant difficulty gates: C-, B, and A grade.
The official raid pages say players need at least 5% credit to open raid chests.
Raider's Chest is the normal chest. Emperor's Trove requires an Emperor Key and is described as having 2x drop rates.
The official wiki banner says Update 4 wiki work is still being finalized, so Colossal details are intentionally conservative.
Attack Titan Raid
Protect Eren first, then fight the Attack Titan while pure titans pressure the arena.
Eren / Attack Titan Update 1
Difficulties
HardSevereAberrant
Phase notes
Phase 1 - Defend Eren
Titans spawn near Eren and try to eat him. Clear the waves before Eren's health reaches 0%.
Phase 2 - Defeat Eren
Eren loses control and attacks players while pure titans keep spawning. On Severe+ he uses Hardening at 60% HP.
Aberrant only - Berserk Mode
Below 25% HP, Eren returns to 40% HP and becomes faster with constant forward pressure.
Fail conditions
- • Eren's health reaches 0% during the defend phase.
Confirmed rewards
- • Onikiri Attack Titan skin spawn chance: 10%.
- • Onikiri ODM/TS set special drop rates during Onikiri raid: 0.3% Hard, 0.9% Severe, 3.0% Aberrant.
- • Update 4 lists Attack Scars as an Attack Raid artifact.
The page shows chest screenshots, but the item list is not exposed as reliable text; we do not publish a full item table from those images.
Armored Titan Raid
Escort rescue boats through titan pressure, then defeat the Armored Titan after breaking down shield value.
Armored Titan Update 2.5
Difficulties
HardSevereAberrant
Phase notes
Phase 1 - Defend the Rescue Boats
Defend 1/2/3 boats by difficulty. The Armored Titan starts with a shield worth an additional 100% HP.
Shield conversion
Damaging the shield turns into Phase 2 damage taken at +1.0% extra damage per 2.0% shield removed, with the source noting a soft cap at 75% red health.
Phase 2 - Defeat the Armored Titan
After the shield dissipates, defeat the Armored Titan while pure titans continue to pressure players.
Fail conditions
- • Hard fails if 1 boat dies.
- • Severe/Aberrant fail if 2 boats die.
Confirmed rewards
- • Jotunn Armored skin spawn chance: 10%.
- • Jotunn ODM/TS set special drop rates during Jotunn raid: 0.3% Hard, 0.9% Severe, 3.0% Aberrant.
- • Update 4 lists Warrior's Armband and Armored Scars as Armored Raid artifacts.
Armored mechanics have several numeric shield notes, but this guide still avoids build math because family, perk, titan, and player-count interactions are not normalized.
Female Titan Raid
Clear a QTE opener, fight Annie, fight Eren, then finish Annie in a final phase.
Annie / Female Titan and Eren Update 3
Difficulties
HardSevereAberrant
Phase notes
Opening - Tunnel QTE
Missed QTEs remove 10% HP each. Completed QTEs add awakening progress and Helos Undying Hero stacks; skipping costs 60% HP.
Phase 1 - Defeat Annie
Take Annie to 50% HP. The official page notes body weaknesses unlike Eren.
Phase 2 - Defeat Eren
Eren starts this phase at 60% HP.
Phase 3 - Defeat Annie
Annie starts at 50% HP again, with body weaknesses noted by the source.
Fail conditions
- • The source emphasizes HP loss in the QTE opener; skip only if your build can survive the 60% HP loss.
Confirmed rewards
- • Deus Ex Machina Female skin spawn chance: 10%.
- • Deus Ex Machina ODM/TS set special drop rates: 0.3% Hard, 0.9% Severe, 3.0% Aberrant.
- • Update 4 lists Crystal Necklace and Female Scars as Female Raid artifacts.
The official page has a typo saying the Deus Ex Machina boss appears in the Armored Raid; the Update 4 log and raid context tie it to Female Titan.
Colossal Titan Raid
Use cannons to stall Bertholdt, protect the Attack Titan, then finish the Colossal Titan by targeting the nape.
Bertholdt / Colossal Titan Update 4
Difficulties
Aberrant only
Requirements
Prestige 2+A- gear rank or above
Phase notes
Phase 1 - Stall Bertholdt
Shoot cannons from the wall to bring the Colossal Titan to 50% HP before he reaches the wall, while defending the Attack Titan from pure titans.
Phase 2 - Defeat Bertholdt
The Colossal Titan only takes damage from the nape. Titan shifting, ODM, Thunder Spears, and skills work in this phase.
Fail conditions
- • The Colossal Titan reaches the wall.
- • The Attack Titan's health reaches 0%.
Confirmed rewards
- • Update 4 lists Sleeping Mask, Sweater, Scorched Cloak, and Colossal Scars as Colossal Raid artifacts.
- • Update 4 lists Mushroom Cloud, Superheated, Aspiring Warrior's Attire, and Atomic Bomb as Colossal Raid cosmetics.
- • Update 4 lists Colossal Shard and Colossal Serum as Colossal Raid progression drops.
The official Colossal raid page is marked as a stub, so we only publish requirements, phases, failure states, and named Update 4 drops.

Methodology
Raid notes were manually built from the official AOTR Fandom raid pages and the official Updates log. We include named mechanics, requirements, failure states, and special reward rates only when the source text states them clearly. Screenshot-only chest data is not converted into searchable item-rate claims.
FAQ
Which AOTR raid should I start with?
Start with Attack Titan if you are learning raid flow. Armored and Female add more specialized mechanics, while Colossal is Update 4 content with Prestige 2+ and A- gear requirements.
Does this page include every raid drop?
No. The official pages include screenshot-based chest tables that are not reliable enough to convert into searchable item-rate claims. We only list special rewards and named Update 4 drops confirmed in text.
Does this page rank the best raid build?
No. Raid performance depends on family, perks, titan path, ODM or Thunder Spears, player count, boss phase, and patch balance. This page stays on mechanics until those inputs can be verified together.
